Timeline of IA SENSE milestones
It all started with our founders Jean De Groote and Diego Moraes in 2021...
Shortly after its founding, the company created its first success story by developing computer vision and AI technology for the Startup Take: a vending machine company that uses computer vision to provide self-service when purchasing products. After more than 2.5 years working with Take, IA SENSE helped them reach the 3,000 POS mark and see their technology exported to FEMSA (IMBERA/COCA-COLA) in Mexico.
The new partner and investor also took over the CEO position and began a new era in the Startup's path.
The company was selected from more than 57 applications to carry out a proof of concept for counting and identifying exotic eucalyptus pests and counting millimeter-sized insectoid eggs to monitor more than 150 thousand hectares of Gerdau eucalyptus.
Start is a program for startups created by Sebrae for Startups, the Brazilian Association of Startups and several partners from the Innovation Ecosystems of the State of São Paulo. The program is free and equity-free, and its main focus is online mentoring and monitoring, as well as meetups with the main innovation speakers of the Ecosystem. Start is a pre-acceleration for startups founded on existing technologies, which create repeatable and scalable business models. Participating startups are separated into groups by level of maturity and technological complexity and receive personalized service.
Start Deeptech is a pre-acceleration focused on the development of startups founded on a scientific discovery or technological innovation that has scientific risk for its product to work. By joining Start Deeptech, IA SENSE gained exclusive access to more than R$500,000.00 in benefits, in addition to individual monitoring by experts and mentoring.
After competing with more than 3,300 startups, IA SENSE secured its place in the general TOP 30 Startups list of the Sebrae award and won:-A prize worth R$ 10,000.00;-Participation in the STARTUP SUMMIT 2024, the largest innovation and entrepreneurship event in Latin America with a personalized stand and pitch presentation, which took place in August/2024 in Florianópolis/SC.
We joined Digital Ocean's global Hatch program and secured $5,000.00 in cloud services from the American company.
We have been approved for NVIDIA's Inception program to obtain US$25,000.00 in cloud credits ("Grow" tier) through AWS Activate, an Inception program partner as a cloud service provider.
We were selected by SEBRAE to exhibit at FENASUCRO - the largest biotechnology fair in the world, which took place on August 13th and 16th in Sertãozinho/SP. In addition to exhibiting our solutions to people from more than 50 countries, we were also able to promote our products on open television with an interview for Rede Record (R7).

AptaHub Acelera is an acceleration program promoted by AptaHub, a network of innovation environments of excellence that connects people and innovative solutions focused on agriculture. The initiative is carried out by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply and the São Paulo Agency for Technologies in Agribusiness (APTA), executed by Cietec and co-executed by Impact Hub Brasil and Wylinka.
Alongside other innovative startups in the Agro sector, we will receive specialized mentoring, participate in practical workshops and expand our networking in the innovation ecosystem.
The CNA HUB Boosting Program is an initiative of the CNA/Senar/ICNA System dedicated to transforming Brazilian agribusiness.
This program is an innovation environment that connects startups to more than 5 million rural producers, offering support so that our technological solutions reach the field in a practical and efficient way.
We won the 1st FIESP Artificial Intelligence Summit, an initiative designed to highlight and reward innovative and successful artificial intelligence (AI) solutions adopted by industries and startups in Brazil.
The achievement resulted in the following awards:
-R$ 20.000,00;
-1st place trophy.
The Hackathon is the result of a partnership between Intel and Amcham Brasil, with support from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Brazilian Association of Startups (Abstartups).
The solutions presented by the 3 winning startups use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to combat hunger and the negative effects of climate change, meeting the priority themes of the Brazilian presidency of the G20.
The achievement earned IA SENSE an invitation to join the Global Intel Liftoff Program.
Dabi Business Park is a business center designed to connect people, ideas and companies, promoting innovation and generating new business. Located in an area of over 100,000 m², on the banks of the Anhanguera Highway, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), it is home to everything from large companies to startups.
One of its anchors is Area 51, an innovation hub that currently houses 24 partner institutions and companies, built for people with a common goal: the search for innovation and connection.With this, we won 2 seats at Area 51 for a period of 3 months, expanding IA SENSE to another address with opportunities to connect with important market players.

IA SENSE was one of the 10 startups in the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' mission to represent our country in the 3rd Brazilian Startups Mission at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH), which will take place in October/2024.
Part of the Innovation Diplomacy Program, the Mission has the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO, Sebrae, Itamaraty, the National University of Singapore, among others.
With this, we achieved:
- Participation in the IPMC (Intellectual Property Management Clinic) training of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) between August and October/2024;
- Participation in SWITCH/2024 and takes place at Marina Bay Sands, in Singapore;
- Opportunity to Pitch and present AI SENSE to venture capitals, global investors and market leaders in Southeast Asia.
In 2024, IA SENSE achieved a prominent position by being among the TOP 10 Biotechs in the 100 Open Startups ranking, one of the leading open innovation platforms in Latin America.
This recognition positions the company among the startups with the greatest capacity to generate value through strategic partnerships with large corporations. The ranking is a result of the technical consistency of the solutions developed, the maturity in its relationship with the market, and the ability to transform applied research into concrete applications, aligned with the real demands of industry and agribusiness.
IA SENSE was recognized at the 21st Visão Agro Brasil Award as a success story, highlighting the practical application of artificial intelligence and computer vision in the agribusiness sector.
The award highlighted the direct impact of the technology on improving operational efficiency, monitoring, and decision-making in the field. IA SENSE has been accepted into the Incubation Program at SUPERA Innovation and Technology Park in Ribeirão Preto, one of the leading technology-based incubators in Latin America. Joining the program represents a strategic advancement for the company, providing access to qualified technical infrastructure, management support, training, and connections with universities, research centers, investors, and large companies.
Participation in SUPERA strengthens IA SENSE's organizational structure, expands funding opportunities, and places the company in a collaborative environment focused on applied innovation. Furthermore, incubation reinforces the company's institutional credibility and enhances its visibility within the technology and innovation ecosystem.
Approval under FAPESP's PIPE 1 program, with R$200,000 in funding for research grants, marked a decisive moment in the scientific consolidation of IA SENSE.
The support from FAPESP—one of Brazil's leading research funding agencies—ensured the project's execution under a rigorous applied research methodology, expanding the technical depth of the solution and structuring clear stages for development, validation, and technological scalability.
Selection for the FIT (Flex Institute of Technology) Oasis Program placed IA SENSE in a highly specialized environment for technological development and industrial integration.
The program provided access to advanced technical infrastructure, specialists, and strategic connections with the productive sector, allowing for the validation of applications in real-world contexts and accelerating the refinement of developed solutions. This step was fundamental in raising the company's level of technological maturity.
IA SENSE received strategic investment from DRUL, a holding company with a strong presence in the sugar-energy sector and participation in large-scale operations in Brazilian agribusiness.
The investment represents more than just capital: it's market validation by a group with deep sector knowledge and a long-term strategic vision. DRUL's entry strengthened the company's ability to accelerate technological development, expand its specialized team, and scale projects in highly complex industrial environments.
In addition to boosting operational growth, the partnership reinforces IA SENSE's position as an innovation agent in the agro-industrial sector, bringing cutting-edge technology closer to the real demands of the field and industry.
In 2025, IA SENSE advanced to the TOP 3 Biotech in the 100 Open Startups ranking, consolidating its position among the leading references in applied innovation in the country.
This rise in the ranking demonstrates consistency in delivering results, sustainable growth, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships. This recognition reinforces the company's maturity and its ability to compete at a high level within the national innovation ecosystem.
